The formal training and educational activities to support physicians in establishing an LAA Closure program have been developed in collaboration with experts in the field of LAA closure and Atritech's Field Clinical Specialists' team.

The program includes the following elements:

  • On-line pre study and exam
  • Interactive on-line WATCHMAN case studies
  • Case observations at a WATCHMAN Professional Training Center
  • Formal hands on training for implanting physicians and lab staff on the WATCHMAN procedure from preparation to implantation and follow up
  • Experienced support personnel on site for initial implant procedures

The WATCHMAN LAA Closure Training and Education program blends traditional and technology-based training methods to equip the medical team in each implanting center to safely, effectively and efficiently implant the WATCHMAN Device.

The WATCHMAN® LAA Closure Technology is CE Marked and is currently available For Investigational Use Only in the United States.
